Qualifications and experience

Training

  • Master’s Degree (with distinction) in Existential–Phenomenological Psychotherapy and Counselling (New School for Psychotherapy and Counselling, London, Sheffield University validated).
  • Continuous professional development and Integration of Attachment Theory and Practice.
  • Understanding Trauma – Principles and Practice (Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust). A psychoanalytic approach to the aftermath of trauma (PTSD).
  • Certificate and Diploma in Supervision, an Adlerian Integrative Approach, Cambridge Supervision Training/Institute for Individual Psychology.

Practice

  • Private practice for over 20 years
  • Working with groups, providing professional training and personal development on a variety of topics
  • Inter-generational group-work addressing issues of inter-generational trauma, loss and fear of death.

  • Previous practice as a volunteer clinician at the former Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture (now: Freedom from Torture).
  • Formerly assessor at the Ealing Abbey Counselling Service, London
